I have some 'Backup and Restore (Windows 7)' images that work, just in case I break anything. Thanks (I used Drive Image 5.0 from 2001 to 2012 on triple-boot Dell (98se,2k,XP), and not familiar with Ghost). If I just restore OS_D_Drive.v2i image file (913GB partition with OS), do I change the ACTIVE designation and will image end up in the correct partition?
#NORTON GHOST 15 WINDOWS 10 HOW TO#
Do I need to switch the ACTIVE designation for these 2 files ? I know how to do it, I just don't know if I should or not. If you select all 3 image files in the RESTORE procedure, will they end up in their correct partitions? I stopped at the point to where I had the 3 image files selected, and then noticed that Ghost had the RECOVERY_C_DRIVE file designated to be the ACTIVE partition, and the OS_D_Drive file not designated to be the ACTIVE partition. I made an image of my Windows-10 1TB hard drive, which resulted in these 3 image files > DellUtility0-1_Drive.v2i, OS_D_Drive.v2i, and RECOVERY_C_Drive.v2i Ghost does seem to run OK from the CD (emergency boot disk) that came with the software. The Nevada DMV had collected a little over $6 million in technology fees during Fiscal Year 2021.I gave up on installing Ghost 15 on my Windows-10 desktop (errors). Technology fee charges ceased in response to a Nevada Supreme Court decision earlier in the month that upheld a district court ruling, which voided 2019 legislation authorizing an extension of the fee program. No refunds will be issued to individuals who did not pay the technology fee during the refund period. The refund amount owed to a customer will be verified by DMV staff. No proof of payment is needed for eligible customers to claim their refund. “Our best advice to customers is to combine the refund with other DMV business that they were going to do anyway, so they don’t have to make a special trip,” Butler said.Ĭommercial fleet customers will receive their technology fee refunds by check in the mail, she said. To avoid walk-in lines, Butler said customers are encouraged to collect their cash refunds the next time they need to visit the DMV on normal business. Regular service windows can assist customers at smaller DMV locations.Ĭustomers visiting the DMV by appointment can also collect their cash refunds from the same service window they are doing other business from.
A designated information counter and/or service window at the DMV metropolitan offices will be available to help customers seeking refunds only. No appointment is necessary to collect the cash refund. The $1 technology fee was applied to most DMV transactions, including driver’s licenses, state ID cards, vehicle registrations and titles, as well as business licenses. The administrative cost to the agency will be around $2.3 million, a savings of about $5.5 million against the original $7.8 million appropriated for costs during the 2021 legislative session. The DMV will be refunding approximately $6 million in technology fees.
